Abstract:
An introduction about the application, evaluation and funding of various projects of the National Natural Science Foundation on Geodesy in 2023, is made in this paper. A statistical analysis is conducted from the perspective of the research direction and supporting institution of the applied projects, and a word cloud analysis is carried out for the keywords of the applied projects. A total of 534 project applications in geodesy were received in this year, with a growth of 3.1% over 2022, 116 of which were funded by the end of October 2023. The result of the keyword cloud analysis shows that the current hotspots in geodesy mainly focus on global navigation satellite system, interferometric synthetic aperture radar(InSAR), BeiDou satellite navigation system(BDS)and their related research. Satellite precision positioning, orbit determination, navigation and application, InSAR technology and its application, as well as study on material migration and climate change in the Tibet Plateau, constitute the three major research sections in geodesy.
