Abstract:
Moving object data contains a wealth of information and can provide the necessary data for traffic management, military simulation, and city planning, and so on.So the research of moving objects is becoming more and more important and meaningful. However, the recent researches on moving objects mostly deal with query and forecast of the location information of moving objects, while the dynamic changes of other attributes are less involved. And, the smart city applications based on virtual globes mostly deal with static three-dimensional information. Real-time and multi-dimensional dynamic spatial information management and visualization technology remain to be further studied. In this paper, aiming to meet the requirements of management and dynamic visualization for real-time GIS data in the virtual globe, firstly, according to the three-dimensional virtual globe tile data organization, based on real-time access of moving objects data on the server for virtual globe client, a spatiotemporal data organization method of moving objects in three-dimensional virtual globes is proposed, which needs to be able to facilitate the performance of the dynamic changes of moving objects relevant properties information (speed, photos, videos, etc).Secondly, according to the characteristics of large volumes and real-time access, a map between moving objects and virtual globe tile pyramid is built, which ensures the temporal consistency of spatiotemporal data and tile data, an extended HR-tree-based spatiotemporal index is proposed, which achieves the retrieval and query for moving objects in the virtual globe and ensures index consistency of the data accessed real-time and the existing data. Finally, using these methods, some virtual globe-based experiments are tested and some suggestions are discussed.
