Abstract:
How to solve the cloud obscuring problem in remote sensing images is a technical issue for acquiring high quality optical remote sensing images. To remove the color and luminance differences within optical remote sensing images affected by thin clouds, an image dodging algorithm is proposed based on HSV transform and wavelet domain enhancement. Experiments are performed with high resolution remote sensing images of two different satellites. The experimental results indicate that the proposed algorithm can remove the effects of thin clouds, and improve the image quality. It is demonstrated that the proposed algorithm is superior to the traditional algorithms based on the experimental results.
