Pedestrian Simulation in Urban Space Based on Visibility Analysis and Agent Techniques

  • Based on the visual affordance theory and the technique of Agent simulation,we develop the framework of Agent simulation system in urban system.The visibility parameters of viewpoints in urban space are pre-calculated to conduct the movement direction of Agents,and the pedestrian flows are formed when the Agents' movements achieve a stable state.We illustrate the system with an example to describe,simulate and predict the pedestrian flow in urban space.
