Key Technique about Visualization of Urban 3D Pipe Network and Implementation of System Functions

This paper introduces a new technique about visualization of urban 3D pipe network and implementation of system functions.First the theory of modeling of 3D pipe network is discussed in detail in part one of the paper.Then the procedures of implementing pipe network visualization are presented.In addition,several efficient methods of speeding up display of graphics are introduced.Lastly,functions of 3D pipe network information system are introduced.The geometric modeling approach provides a new way to solve the 3D visualization of the complex urban pipe network.It is prerequisite to establish the 3D pipe network information system.
