Extendable GIS Model Based on Micro-Workflow

By analyzing the characteristics of the micro-workflow and the business of GIS, a theory of the extendable GIS model based on micro workflow is put forward.Then the workflow engine is designed in terms of the relationship between functional fields, procedures of business and the style of organization.The result of practice proves that this system model has a strong extension ability both on horizontal and vertical orientation which is very useful for building "digital city".
