Algorithm of Short-Term Observation Data Processing in GPS Common-View Time Receiver

  • A new algorithm of short-term observation data processing based on Total Least Squares (TLS) fit is presented, in which not only the error of time difference between GPS and local clock, but also the error of measurement time of time difference data is considered in TLS fit.As a result, the GPS commonview time receiver may output the high accuracy data in one-site measurement.In the new short-term observation data processing algorithm, both the (ordinary)least-squares quadratic fits and the leastsquares linear fits are instead of total least squares fits, while the other data processing procedures are identical with the old algorithm.Comparisons between LS and TLS algorithms are illustrated by two examples.In our tests, the common-view receivers were operated on single-channel mode using tracking schedule drawn up by BIPM.
