Abstract

This poper discusses the design for MC-GDB(Micro-computer chinese Geodetic Data Base) system using IBM-PC/XT personal computer and relational DBMS CdBASE-Ⅲ.By using the methods of storing in blocks and efficient data condensation,large-scale geodetic data management can be realized through personal computers.Finally,some application modes,such as retrieval,statistics and tabulation,are briefly described.The adjustment and drawing functions are also discussed with reference to the characteristics of geoderic data.
