Accuracy Assessment of Single Point Positioning Based on Observational Data from Galileo IOV Satellites

  • A mathematic model for Galileo single point positioning is introduced. After errors corrections are made,Galileo single point positioning is performed using observation data from IOV satelliter at MUEX tracking stations on seven consecutive days. The results indicate that the single point positioning performance of Galileo based on four IOV satellites was inferior to UPS single point positioning based on a full constellation. The accuracy was better than 4. 5 m and 9. 0 m for the horizontal direction and vertical direction, respectively. The accuracy of combined GPS/Galileo single point positioning was better than GPS-only single point positioning in three coordinate components.
