Based on spectral profiles sampling from fifteen EOS MODIS images of the Eastern China,spectral characteristic of water,cloud,snow,surface features and fog are analyzed.Channels suitable for fog detection are discovered and analyzed,and they are available to fog detection in different areas and seasons of China.
