Camera Calibration Based on LCD Planar Grid and Interpolation by Finite Elements

  • A new camera calibration method is presented based on completely flat liquid crystal display (LCD) and the interpolation model of digital elevation model (DEM) by finite elements, which belongs to non-parametric distortion calibration model. Firstly, the proposed calibration method is presented detailedly. And then, two other kinds of conditional equations are imported after correlativity analysis. A simple and automatic calibration algorithm is designed. Good results and comparisons with the method of normal parametric distortion model show that its accuracy is better than that of the latter.
