A Segmental-linear Function Based Pro-codec Processing Algorithm

  • The segmental-linear function based pro-codec processing algorithm is proposed.The algorithm deals the small coefficients with segmental-linear function before their going to codec machine.Instead of abandoning many small coefficients which represent the texture,it distorts the big coefficients slightly.Experiment shows that compared with the way of rebuilding texture by the Gauss compensation algorithm,its representation in both PSNR and subjective effect is better.
