An Approach for Automated Building Grouping and Generalization Considering Multiple Parameters

  • An approach is presented for automated building grouping and generalization.Three principles in Gestalt theories and six parameters, are selected to describe spatial configurations,distributions and relations of buildings.Based on the rules and the parameters,an approach to building grouping and generalization is derived using Delaunay triangulation.The difference of the method with existing ones is that this method takes into consideration direction relations among buildings.This approach is fully automatic and can be used in generalization of buildings in blocks.
