Automatic Name Placement by Mathematical Morphology

摘要: 提出利用数学形态学并行算子——侵蚀和扩张来实现寻找地图注记位置。在获取了描述地图要素的栅格数据以后,按照制图要求构造"结构元素"。这种方法可以处理任何不规则多边形以及注记内容相互压盖现象。文中还提出多边形区域的"近似形心点"概念,用以确定注记位置。

Abstract: This paper presents a new method for automatic name placement.Math-ematical morphology,a new parallel dealing theory,is served to solve map annota-tion problems in point object,line object and polygon object.
