A Research on the Automatic Generalization of Urban Settlement on a Topographic Map

摘要: 本文介绍了地形图上城镇居民地自动综合的一个方案及其试验结果。该方案以网络结构描述城镇居民地,并依此将综合分解为两个主要方面:街道的取舍亦即街区的合并或保留,街区内地物的处理。试验结果表明该方案具有一定的实用性。Abstract: Presented in this paper is a method for automaticly generalizing urban settlements on a topographic map,an experiment result is also given. With this method,on urban setlle-ment is represented with a network structure, and the generalization is decomposed into two main components, i. e, handling of streets or blocks, and handling of other features within blocks. The experiment result shows some promise of practicability of the method.
