面向目标数据模型在地理属性数据库中的应用

An Application of Object-oriented Data Models for Attribute Database in GIS

摘要: 这篇文章分析了GIS属性数据库中传统关系数据模型所存在的问题;介绍了面向目标数据模型的基本概念;探讨了利用面向目标语言Hyper Talk和关系数据库管理系统Oracle的结合实现这种模型的可能性。按这种方式建立的地理属性数据库的原型表明,它可以克服传统的关系数据模型所存在的某些问题,提高数据库的效率。

Abstract: This paper has analysed the relational date models and their problems;introduced the basic concepts of the object-oriented data models and discussed an object-oriented database prototype based on HyperTalk and Oracle for the attribute data in GIS.The result has shown that it could solve some problems in relational data models of tradition and improve the efficiency for manipulating database.
