泛地图理论下深空探测场景空间制图表达思考

Thoughts on the Cartographic Representation of Deep Space Exploration Environment with Pan-Maps Theory

  • 摘要: 以月球与行星探测为代表的深空探测活动将人类对于物理空间的认知从地球空间拓展到月球、行星乃至行星际等深空场景空间。如何构建深空探测场景下的空间位置概念、制图内容,并建立相应的制图表达机制和可视化方法,以满足深空探测工程任务实施和重大科学发现的需求,这对制图学提出了新的挑战。针对此问题,在泛地图等前沿理论的指引下,结合笔者团队在中国深空探测任务中的制图实践,对深空场景中涉及的天体卫星轨道、月球与行星、探测器本体等多尺度空间进行统一位置关联,并对所涉及的制图内容、数据、可视化技术等进行了探讨,以构建一种面向深空探测场景的天、地、器一体化空间可视化表达的制图方法。可为研制中国后续深空探测工程任务和科学研究所需的新型制图产品提供思路。

     

    Abstract: The deep space exploration activities represented by lunar and planetary space exploration expand human's cognition of physical space from earth space to deep space scene such as Moon, Planet, and even interplanetary space. Deep space environment is both related and significantly different from earth space or planetary space. How to construct the concept of spatial position in deep space exploration environment, clarify the mapping content of scene space, and establish corresponding mapping expression mechanism and visualization methods to meet the needs of deep space exploration task implementation and scientific discoveries, which puts forward new challenges to Cartography. In view of this, based on the latest frontier theoretical thinking on pan-maps and combined with the experience accumulated in the mapping practice of China's deep space exploration mission for a long time, this study attempts to make a unified position association for the multi-scale space involved in the deep space environment, such as the orbit space of celestial bodies and satellites, the space between the Moon and Planets, the space of the probe body, and the mapping content, mapping data visualization technology system is discussed in order to construct a deep space environment mapping method for the integrated spatial visualization of space, planets and instruments in deep space exploration. This study might provide ideas for the development of new mapping products required by China's follow-up deep space exploration missions and corresponding scientific research.
